As of 07-09-2009 Amazon has lowered the price of a new in the box Kindle 2 wireless reader by $60.00. Now priced at $299.00, Amazon knows that it must lower the price of the Kindle Reader in order to establish itself as a leader in the growing wireless reader market. The Kindle still remains way ahead of the competition providing interface quality and integration compared to other manufacturers of wireless reader devices.
