Big Screen Kindle DX

The new Kindle DX, introduced on May 6, 2009, has a 9.7-inch screen (compared to Kindle 2's 6-inch screen). Weighing in at just 18.9 ounces, the DX has a capacity of 3500 books, periodicals, or documents. The great news is that Amazon has teamed with multiple textbook publishers, several universities, as well as three major newspapers (so far) to further the scope of materials available in Kindle format. Watch for Kindle version textbooks to appear for sale in the Kindle store this summer, as well as special subscription deals from The New York Times, The Washington Post, and The Boston Globe.
